London / Paris / Monaco, 3 October 2025
H2O AM announces the appointment of Timothée Consigny to the position of Head of Innovation in Generative Artificial Intelligence* (GenAI). As Chief Technology Officer of the company, he will also lead the integration of GenAI capabilities within the H2O AM group.
Since 2023, H2O AM has started integrating GenAI as a key lever to optimise its internal processes and increase the operational efficiency of several of its departments. GenAI is now an integral part of the management process at H2O AM. The aim is to preserve H2O AM’s discretionary approach while taking full advantage of the benefits of this technology through concrete use cases, ranging from optimising the processing of external research to improving internal investment discussions through the analysis of cognitive and group biases
“While we initially explored generative AI for its obvious productivity gains, it has proven to be particularly relevant to our discretionary investment process. It helps us to make better use of the information available and to strengthen the behavioural analysis that is at the heart of our investment philosophy,” says Timothée Consigny.
Alongside this appointment, H2O AM has set up a Steering Committee on Generative AI. This Committee brings together four members with varied and complementary profiles across compliance, management, risk and client service departments. This body will help to structure the governance of this technology and define a clear, consistent and cross-functional framework, ensuring the right balance between innovation and risk management, and ensuring that transparency and the protection of client interests remain at the heart of our approach.
“This contribution is an additional factor in the investment process, with GenAI enriching our team of portfolio managers’ analysis without ever replacing their discretionary judgement. Investment decisions therefore remain entirely within their remit. The appointment of Timothée Consigny as Head of Innovation in GenAI and the creation of the Steering Committee reflect H2O AM’s will to continue innovating and to be a pioneer in generative finance”, concludes Vincent Chailley, H2O AM Group’s Chief Investment Officer.
